This chili verde was one of the first recipes I ever learned. It comes out great even if you don’t brown the meat, but I think doing so always adds extra flavor so I usually do it.
This no-meat Cholent recipe is always a hit. You can add meat if you like, but most people don’t even realize that the meat is missing.

Mulligatawny Soup I
The name Mulligatawny means ‘pepper water’, and curry is the particular ingredient that gives this incredible soup such a delicious flavor…so I’m told. This old recipe was given to me long ago.
